MEET THE TEAM
Comprised of siblings and BFFs, our small wedding party packs a real punch. We’re so grateful to have them in our corners on the big day.
THE OFFICIANTS

León Castellanos
León is an international law professor in Amsterdam. He and Mau met nearly 40 years ago, carpooling to kindergarten. These nerdy boys were neighbors who spent countless hours playing video games, riding around La Ceiba on their bikes, and silently reading together. Mau officiated León’s NYC marriage to Katya (with one week’s notice) and now it’s time to return the favor (with one year’s notice) in their hometown.

Aisling Roche
Aisling (ASH-leeng) is an educator living in Cambridge (Mass.) with her husband Dan and son Oscar. Aisling and Danny have been inseparable besties since college in Chicago. You could say they’re still spiritually sharing an apartment in NYC in their 20s, when their bond was forged in everything bagels, Trader Joe’s wine, and secret jokes. Speaking of returning favors (see: León), Danny officiated Ais’s wedding, too.
THE MAIDS OF HONOR

Dania Delamo
Dania is Danny’s little sister, confidante, and anchor. A vestibular rehab specialist, she supervises the inpatient physical therapy department at a hospital in Miami, where she lives with her husband Leo and their daughters, Olivia and Evelyn, Danny’s beloved nieces, who will also play a part in the wedding ceremony. You will find Dania running the dance floor at the wedding and making everything 100% more fun, especially if any 90s Miami bass is blasting.

Mariana Vera
Mariana works in marketing in Rotterdam, where she lives with her husband David and son Rafa. The “Mother Hen” of their friend group, she and Mau met in college and solidified their friendship while living abroad in Madrid. Mau (and their roommates) quickly learned that leaving a single hair in the shower would incite her wrath. But he also learned that Mariana is one of the kindest, sagest, and most dependable friends he could ever ask for.
THE BEST MEN

Manlio Díaz
Manlio is an hotelier in Mérida and Mau’s older brother. Six years apart, they grew up constantly fighting for the remote, Mau begging to watch “Power Rangers” while Manlio preferred “The Simpsons.” But these drastically different siblings—one a bookish introvert with great hair, the other a sporty extrovert with less hair—have always been there for each other when it counts. Manlio and his wife Pamela are the parents of Mau’s beloved nephew (Dani) and niece (Mar), who will also be part of the wedding.

Harry Moroz
Harry is an economist at the World Bank. Partners-in-crime since college, Harry and Danny met while studying abroad in Seville, Spain, housing gambas (he’s still at it, as you can see in the photo), slugging Cruzcampo, and generally causing a ruckus. They were roommates in college in Chicago, and later in NYC, where they could be found at just about every late-aughts concert worth attending. Harry lives in the Washington, DC suburbs with his wife Deborah and their kids, Sebastian and Bess.
